The time has finally arrived to present the cover for my new book Checking Inn! Ohhh, what will it look like you say? You’ll just have to wait until Friday to find out! Honestly, picking a cover is the hardest part of the publishing process for me. I’m not an indecisive person, but I go back and forth on the covers for a month! I would love to hear what you think the cover might look like based on the book blurb and see how the cover measures up.
“White Lies was a very fun read, easily devoured in one sitting. You could see the growth Natalie goes through as she learns to be more honest and confident in her ideas and talents. She still remains cute, bubbly, and fun, like that best friend who knows all the good gossip.
Of course, Oliver is luscious though they don’t hit it off very well at first. However, unlike all of Natalie’s previous dates, he is able to see through the embellishments to the real her and the romance builds.
More than a romance, White Lies is a book about being true to yourself and following the path that’s right for you. It’s a book I could easily see becoming a fun summer movie, filled with lots of fantastic shoes. P.S. I don’t think she’ll be needing Johnny Depp anymore.” -Readers’ Favourite Review
I am so pleased to be featured today on Book Mama’s Blog for an author interview and giveaway for White Lies. If you haven’t already, please go and check out her blog (and be sure to follow it while you are there, she has great book recommendations) and enter the giveaway!
Happy Reading 🙂
Oh man, I was on the radio today! And I have to ask, does my voice actually sound like that?!? Besides cringing as I was listening to myself speak- for some reason I was under the impression I sounded like Audrey Hepburn, but now I realize it’s more like Janice from Friends- I think it went really well.
Have a listen, and let me know what you think.
“White Lies” received a five *blossoms* review from The Magnolia Blossom Review team. I want to thank their whole team, especially John who reviewed the book. So glad that both men and women find “White Lies” entertaining! I’m also featured in an author interview on their site. Hope you enjoy 🙂
My book signing made it into the paper today!

I will be posting on Friday my upcoming book signings for November and December on my events page.
I had a wonderful time at my book signing over the weekend. I got to meet some great new readers and connect with some friends as well. The bookstore said it was their most successful book signing to date- woot!
Here are some great pictures from the signing:
I will be signing more books at the Oakville Women’s Christmas Bazaar this week, and I am very excited. Not only am I going to be able to chat with readers (which I love to do), but I also get to shop for great Christmas gifts!
“So, that’s it?” you ask.
This is where I laugh hysterically and shake my tired head. Are you kidding? I never sleep, never sit still and never stop. I honestly think I would give the Terminator a run for his money.
My next book, Checking Inn, is due out in December right before Christmas. I am currently working on the book cover but the novel blurb is complete! I will post it this Friday for everyone to enjoy!
Well, I can honestly say I am exhausted! Thank you to everyone who have sent their well wishes and great reviews over the weekend for “White Lies”. I am getting so excited for the book signing on October 19th and look forward to meeting a lot of you for the first time.
I started the editing process for my second book that is due out in December and I think with all the excitement over the weekend my eyes are starting to go blurry. I hope to finalize the book blurb later this week which I will post for everyone.
Hope you have a lovely week and are looking forward to some turkey on the weekend!
P.S. Got my picture taken over the weekend for the promotional posters. It was wet, rainy and cold but I feel my dad did an excellent job once I showed him how to work an iPhone.
This feels like Christmas to me! I can’t wait to get up tomorrow morning, run over to my computer and check Amazon, Chapters, Barnes and Noble, Kindle, Kobo- okay, I might have to set up a few computers! “White Lies” will be available tomorrow to purchase, and although a lot of people have expressed interest in getting the book at one of my signings, how cool would it be to come to the signing having already read the book? Bring it and I will sign it! I look forward to hearing your reviews!
Thank you again for everyone’s support and encouragement.
Okay, now any suggestions on how to get to sleep when you are super excited and can’t stop smiling?
I woke up this morning to a ringing sound, checked my phone and decided I must have dreamt it. After I got myself ready, had my morning tea, and had another shower from Noah splashing in the bath, I went to go and get the kids in the car. Low and behold, when I opened the door there was a little box sitting on the steps!
“My author copies are here! My author copies are here!” I yelled to anyone who would listen (just the kids, but I saw my neighbour’s curtain move so I think she got the message too).
Everyone had to go back into the house (there was a lot of moaning at this point), and I opened the box to see all the new and shiny copies for my book signing on October 19th 2013 (please click this link for more information).
Oh man, I can’t stop staring at them! Aren’t they the most beautiful things you’ve ever seen?
They are now on the dining room table with a barrier built around them to stop any little sticky fingers from grabbing them.
“White Lies” is available for purchase through all major retailers this Friday, Ocober 4th 2013. Mark your calendars or pre-order your copy today.
If anyone needs me, I will be sitting in the dining room smiling at the box.
